Alumni Intensive: Elevate Your Voice, Develop Your Impact

We are excited to invite you to an upcoming AALA Alumni Intensive, Elevate Your Voice, Develop Your Impact, a public speaking workshop taking place on Thursday, April 9 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the cafeteria at IMPACT Community Action, located at 711 Southwood Ave. Columbus OH 43207

This session will be facilitated by AALA alum and professional public speaker and trainer Kenston Henderson (’25), and hosted by our AALA Learning and Development Committee.

Public speaking is more than a skill. It is a career accelerator and a leadership game changer. This interactive workshop is designed to help you strengthen how you show up, communicate, and lead with intention.

During the session, you will learn how to craft an authentic elevator pitch that leaves a lasting impression, build confidence in presenting your ideas with clarity and conviction, and use storytelling as a powerful leadership tool. You will also walk away with a practical framework to consistently communicate your vision, values, and goals.

This will be a hands on and engaging experience, with space to practice, reflect, and refine your voice in a supportive environment.
