AALA Applicant Nominations

The African American Leadership Academy (AALA) Fellowship is built through the strength of its network. Each year, current Fellows, alumni, and AALA board members are invited to nominate emerging and established leaders from across Central Ohio who demonstrate a commitment to leadership, community impact, and professional excellence. Nominees typically represent a wide range of sectors including business, education, public service, healthcare, nonprofit leadership, the arts, and entrepreneurship. Individuals must be nominated by a current Fellow, AALA alumnus, or board member in order to be considered for the program.

Once the nomination period opens for the upcoming class, eligible members of the AALA community may submit nominations through this page. After a nomination is received, selected candidates will be invited to complete a formal application as part of the review and selection process. We encourage alumni and Fellows to thoughtfully consider leaders within their networks who embody the values of AALA and have the potential to grow, contribute, and lead within the Academy and the broader Central Ohio community.
